Nghe An Youth Union launches 2021 Summer Volunteer Campaign
(Baonghean.vn) - With the motto of action "Creative - Practical - Effective - Safe", the 2021 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign of Nghe An youth promises to be an environment for union members and young people in the whole province to practice, contribute and mature in the spirit of "wherever needed, there are young people, wherever difficult, there are young people".
On the morning of June 9, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union organized the Launching Ceremony of the 2021 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. To ensure safety in the face of the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, the launching ceremony was held online at 24 points including 1 point at the Provincial Youth Union, 21 points at district and urban Youth Unions, and 2 points at affiliated blocks.

In recent years, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has been an exciting activity of Nghe An youth to spread the spirit of volunteerism, contributing to the spread of good values to the community.
This year, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign takes place in a very special context when the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term has just been successfully held; The whole province is striving to achieve the dual goal in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, both preventing the pandemic and stabilizing society and developing the economy. Therefore, the implementation contents are very flexible, suitable for the practical situation of the province.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Chu Duc Thai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union called on all levels of the Youth Union, Association, union members and youth in the province to strive to compete, promote youth strength, and focus on implementing the proposed projects and tasks well.
In particular, it is necessary to focus on key areas of the campaign including: Communes reaching the new rural finish line; remote areas, areas with difficult economic conditions, ethnic minority areas, border areas, special areas; communes in coastal areas and areas at risk of Covid-19 infection, focusing on activities to build new rural areas, urban civilization, social security activities, propaganda on drowning prevention and Covid-19 prevention and control.
Variety of action programs
With the motto of action "Creative - Practical - Effective - Safe", the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee continues to deploy 1 program and 4 campaigns including: The peak "Exam Season Support" program taking place from July 6-8, 2021 in conjunction with the high school graduation exam schedule; "Green Summer" campaign for cadres, lecturers, young teachers, students of academies, universities, colleges, vocational training institutions; "Red Flamboyant" volunteer campaign for cadres, young teachers, students of high schools, continuing education centers; "Pink Vacation" volunteer campaign for young workers, young civil servants and "Green March" campaign for union members and young people in the armed forces.

With the desire to promote the creativity of each member and youth in applying information technology, implementing digital transformation to deploy volunteer activities suitable to the current conditions and situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee launched the Nghe An Volunteer Map. The map aims to connect teams, volunteer clubs and groups as well as provide information on volunteer needs in disadvantaged localities throughout the province.

In the face of the increasingly complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, comrade Le Van Luong - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Student Association of Nghe An province launched a response to the call to support the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Donations and support are made in two forms: Direct cash donations and phone messages via Portal 1400 to support the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Fund. The donations will be used for epidemic prevention and control, with priority given to the Covid-19 Vaccine Fund to buy vaccines for policy beneficiaries, the poor, and workers, contributing to disease control and protecting people's health and lives.
