As reported, since 3am this morning, after discovering a case of Covid-19 infection in the community in Block 4, Ha Huy Tap Ward, a part of this ward has been locked down to carry out epidemic prevention work. The locked down area is a residential area with a triangle from Vinh Station intersection to Kenh Bac bridge (Nguyen Sy Sach street), from Kenh Bac bridge to Quan Bau intersection (Ha Huy Tap street), from Quan Bau intersection (Mai Hac De street).

Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Ha (Le Loi ward), whose parents live in block 8, Ha Huy Tap ward, said: This morning, when she woke up and read the news in the newspaper, she found out that the area where her parents live was locked down. Knowing that her grandparents did not have much food in the house, she had to rush to the market to buy rice, vegetables, meat and fish to bring to her parents.

This morning, after the lockdown order was issued, Vinh City Police mobilized forces to set up checkpoints at 41 points, which are the gateways to and from the blockade area. At the checkpoints, in addition to regular police forces, there are also militia and self-defense forces, protecting the people in Ha Huy Tap ward. At the checkpoints, people coming to receive supplies are required to leave goods on tables or in open areas for relatives to pick up, and are not allowed to have close contact.
