(Baonghean.vn) - In contrast to the crowded scene of people rushing to buy essential foods on the morning of June 14, today (June 15), traditional markets, supermarkets, and convenience stores in Vinh are deserted.

If yesterday, Hung Dung market was crowded with shoppers, especially for essential goods such as food, this morning, the number of people coming to the market was sparse. The food stalls such as seafood, meat, and poultry only had a few people asking to buy occasionally. The vegetable and fruit stalls were full but there were no customers.

Pork was sold out yesterday, by 9am all the stalls were out of meat to sell, some traders sold 2-3 quintals of meat in the market, but today business was sluggish and deserted. "Thinking about the people's demand, this morning I killed 2 pigs, nearly 1.3 quintals of meat, but only sold 30kg, the remaining nearly 1 quintal is still in the sack", said Mr. Trong Tuyen, a pork trader at Hung Dung market.

The reason is said to be that yesterday, peoplebuy food to stock upfor 3-5 days, so today, the number of people going to the market has decreased, the demand for shopping has decreased, so the goods are unsold. Mr. Nguyen Khac Thanh - Deputy Manager of Hung Dung Market said: "The number of people coming to the market this morning is only 30% compared to yesterday. People have already shopped enough, so with this epidemic, no one goes to crowded places."

Markets such as Quan Lau, Coi, Duoc, Quyet markets, etc. are deserted and sparsely populated despite the variety of goods. Even inside the main temples, kiosks selling items such as clothes, shoes, cosmetics, backpacks, handbags, etc. have all closed, partly because of sluggish sales, partly because of concerns.epidemic spread

At agents and grocery stores, items such as instant noodles, cooking oil, fish sauce, etc. are full but there are few buyers. "The total remains unchanged. For example, in 1 week, the store sold 100 boxes of noodles to the same number of people in the area, so yesterday it sold that much, so today there are no buyers. Yesterday, we sold immediately, mobilized employees to work at full capacity but still could not serve consumers, so today we are free," said Mr. Pham Quyen - owner of a grocery agent at Coi market (Hung Loc).

Still atsupermarkets, abundant goodsand essential goods have been replenished in large quantities, but the number of people going to supermarkets has decreased significantly. At a supermarket on Tran Phu Street, there were only about 10 customers while the amount of goods on the shelves was abundant. A representative of this supermarket said: "The number of customers coming to the supermarket has decreased sharply compared to the previous days. Goods are now very rich and abundant, so people who are afraid to go to crowded places can shop online for home delivery."
