Vinh Medical University deploys personnel to support COVID-19 prevention and control efforts in Dien Chau.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of June 16th, Vinh Medical University held a send-off ceremony for a group of lecturers and student volunteers to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in Dien Chau district.
As of the afternoon of June 16th, Nghe An province has 4 confirmed cases of Covid-19. The new Covid-19 case in Dien Chau district had visited many places and come into contact with many people, requiring a sample to be taken for testing.

Given the complex developments of the epidemic and in response to the call from the Ministry of Health and the Nghe An Department of Health for medical staff to participate in the fight against the epidemic, more than 1,000 lecturers and students of Vinh Medical University have volunteered to fight the Covid-19 epidemic.
At the send-off ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Canh Phu – Rector of Vinh Medical University – requested that the members of the task force strictly adhere to epidemic prevention regulations while performing their duties in the locality; uphold the sense of responsibility of medical staff and students, work together to repel the epidemic and successfully complete the assigned tasks.
This is a special volunteer campaign that demonstrates the pioneering spirit and willingness of medical staff and students to take on new and challenging tasks, reflecting their determination to work together with the province and the entire country to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

Immediately after the departure ceremony, a group of nearly 50 staff, lecturers, and volunteer students from Vinh Medical University were transported by large passenger buses and departed from Vinh Medical University to Dien Chau district to participate in supporting epidemic prevention and control efforts in the locality.
