However, according to our records, on the afternoon of June 20, on the street in front of Vinh market gate, where there are hundreds of shops selling food, vegetables, tubers, and fruits, people still gathered to go to the market in large numbers, easily leading to the risk of spreading the epidemic.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Trong - Head of Hong Son Ward Police said: Implementing Directive 16 of the Government, yesterday, the Provincial People's Committee issued a document directing the activities of the people's market, in which the most notable is limiting the number of people participating in activities in the market area at the same time. However, many people are still negligent in disease prevention, there are even cases where they deliberately set up tents and canvas tents encroaching on the road to do business, forcing the authorities to clear them away.
On June 19, the Provincial People's Committee issued urgent Official Dispatch No. 4049/UBND-KT on continuing to implement urgent measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic according to Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister to provincial departments, branches, sectors and mass organizations; central agencies located in the area; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns.
In particular, regarding activities at traditional markets, the Provincial People's Committee requests: Timely rectify control work, ensure safety and epidemic prevention in traditional market areas that do not meet requirements, and promptly deploy the following solutions:
+ Disinfect and sterilize the market area,
+ Only allow 1-2 entrances to the market and arrange mask and disinfectant selling points right at the entrances to the market.
+ Limit the number of people participating in activities in the market area at the same time
+ Require 100% of people entering and participating in activities in the market area to wear masks, wash hands with antiseptic solution and keep a minimum distance of 2m between people;
+ Temporarily suspend the operation of kiosks selling goods in the market area that are not essential goods according to the announced list.
+ Coordinate with local authorities (Police, Market Management, etc.) to promptly detect and handle violations; resolutely eliminate spontaneous markets, and temporarily suspend operations of markets without management entities and those that do not comply with disease prevention and control regulations.
