Que Ngoc Hai and Trong Hoang are excited to practice after the quarantine period.

On the evening of June 23, Viettel FC players had their first training session at YHA Training Site (Thailand). The travel time from the hotel to the stadium is about 45 minutes. The temperature in Bangkok these days is not much different from that in Hanoi, about 32-34 degrees Celsius. After a period of limited time going out to ensure the principles of Covid-19 prevention and control, the players were able to go out to practice.

Previously, coach Truong Viet Hoang and his team had negative results after the Covid-19 PCR test, meeting the mandatory conditions to be allowed to practice and compete in the 2021 Champions League group stage.

The appearance ofQue Ngoc Hai, Nguyen Trong Hoang, Bui Tien Dung, Nguyen Hoang Duc, Nguyen Thanh Binh - 5 Vietnamese players traveled straight from Dubai to Bangkok and self-isolated in the waiting room to join the club, making a difference.

With the reunion with teammates after the quarantine period, Que Ngoc Hai,Trong Hoang, Bui Tien Dung... was very excited to return to practice.

Captain defender Bui Tien Dung shared:"The quarantine regime in Thailand is very strict, but the whole team will adapt to practice and prepare for the first match. After nearly 2 months of not practicing with the team, I don't find it difficult to get into the rhythm with my teammates."

According to the schedule, Viettel FC will play the opening match against defending champion Ulsan Hyundai on June 26 (return leg on July 8), meet Thai League champion BG Pathum on July 2 and July 5, and meet Sanghai Port (or Kaya FC) on June 29 and July 11.
