After listening to the report of the representative of the Party Committee of the Government and the opinions of the agencies, the Politburo assessed that the Covid-19 outbreaks last year and this year had very complicated developments, greatly affecting production, business and service activities, especially in industrial parks, export processing zones, enterprises employing many workers and in provinces and cities with high population density, causing serious impacts on the jobs, lives and income of workers.
The Politburo highly appreciated the proactiveness and positivity of central and local ministries, branches in implementing the policies of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the National Assembly and Resolution 42 dated April 9, 2020 of the Government on measures to support people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The implementation of policies to support people and businesses right from the beginning of the outbreak last year had important political and social significance, contributing to supporting and sharing difficulties with the business community, thereby limiting damage and losses caused by the epidemic, contributing to restoring production, ensuring people's lives and safety, continuing to enhance people's trust in the correct policies of the Party and State, demonstrating the superiority of our regime...

Concluding the meeting, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that the Politburo agreed to continue issuing support policies for workers and employers facing difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, on the basis of closely following the direction of the Politburo in Conclusion 07 dated June 11, 2021 on a number of key tasks to strengthen the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic and socio-economic development.
Emphasizing the lessons learned from the implementation of Resolution 42 of the Government and absorbing the experiences and support measures of countries around the world to focus on reviewing and identifying the right subjects in need of specific support, building appropriate support levels, ensuring strictness, fairness, publicity, transparency, efficiency and practicality, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong noted that the epidemic is still complicated, so we must not be subjective or negligent in the work of disease prevention and control.
"The pandemic situation in the world is still complicated, so we must not be subjective or negligent. Recently, the Party and the State have allocated the budget along with many sources to support workers and people. Particularly this time, for workers and employers facing difficulties due to the fourth wave of the pandemic, we have a policy of supporting with many solutions to ensure production and business, the spirit of both successfully fighting the pandemic and ensuring production, business, and socio-economic development of the country," the General Secretary stated.
The General Secretary said, "This is a specific matter. The Government will issue a Resolution that fully absorbs the opinions at the meeting. The spirit is to be short, concise, easy to understand, easy to remember, easy to do and easy to implement effectively, to fight against negativity and cumbersome procedures, to reach the right people, and to absolutely avoid mistakes that fall into the wrong hands of the people who need support."
At the meeting, the Politburo also requested the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, ministries, branches and localities to closely follow the practical situation and developments of the epidemic to have timely solutions, strengthen inspection and supervision measures, strictly handle violations, and prevent negativity, loss and waste in the process of policy implementation./.
