Through understanding the situation in the area, the detectives discovered that among them was Kha Van Than (born in 1992), residing in Luu Phong village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong district. This is a long-time addict in the area. In order to have money to use drugs as well as for personal expenses, Than went into the deep forest to build a tent to carry out the act of buying, selling, and organizing the illegal use of drugs.

After many days of closely following and monitoring the subject's movements, at 4:00 p.m. on June 27, 2021, in the mountainous area of ​​Luu Phong village, Luu Kien commune, Tuong Duong district, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Provincial Police presided over and coordinated with the Tuong Duong District Police to successfully eradicate a complex drug-related point. Kha Van Than was caught red-handed for "illegal drug trafficking". Evidence seized on the spot included 3 grams of Heroin, 1 homemade gun and 5 bullets.
