Trong Hoang's impressive comeback.
(Baonghean.vn) - The return of Trong Hoang and Que Ngoc Hai, along with the outstanding performances of other individuals in both attack and defense, helped Viettel FC achieve a resounding victory against the representative from the Philippines.
After a disappointing opening match in the AFC Champions League 2021, Viettel showed high determination in the second match against KaYa FC by fielding their strongest lineup, including the return of two national team players, Trong Hoang and Que Ngoc Hai.

The reigning V-League champions were considered the favorites before the match, and were expected to secure all three points in the second round of Group F. However, few were optimistic that Viettel could annihilate Kaya with a 5-0 victory.
Viettel started confidently and quickly dominated their opponents thanks to their proactive style of play. In the 2nd minute, from a pass by Bui Duy Thuong on the right wing, Hoang Duc penetrated the penalty area and executed a skillful left-footed shot into the far corner of the net, beating Kaya FC. With an early opening goal, Viettel became even more proactive in their attacking organization and transitions.

The presence ofTrong HoangThe midfield area allowed Viettel to win the ball effectively from the opponent, enabling them to launch lightning-fast counter-attacks. In the 7th minute, following a quick transition in their own half, Trong Hoang played a through pass to Caique, who beat defender Kaya. He calmly finished into the far corner, beating goalkeeper Louie Casas. The ball slowly rolled into the net, leaving the Philippine team helpless.

In the remaining minutes of the first half, Viettel remained the dominant team and created two more notable opportunities. However, in the second half, Viettel did not miss the chance to score another goal. In the 48th minute, from a corner kick on the left wing taken by Trong Hoang, Bui Tien Dung rose high to head the ball into Kaya's net, increasing the score to 3-0.
In the 61st minute, Caique surged forward to receive a pass from Jaha, beat a Kaya defender before unleashing a powerful diagonal shot to extend Vietnam's lead to 4-0.

In the 66th minute, Vu Minh Tuan, who had just come on as a substitute, sealed a 5-star victory for Viettel with a skillful finish.
Viettel deserves praise from Vietnamese football fans for their performance in the AFC Champions League in their first participation. In particular, the impressive return of Trong Hoang will undoubtedly help Viettel FC play even better in the upcoming matches.

With a 5-0 victory, Viettel secured their first three points in the AFC Champions League 2021 group stage. In their next match, Trong Hoang and his teammates will face hosts BG Pathum United (Thailand) on July 2nd.
