Restaurant and spa owners in Dien Chau fined for opening illegally

Specifically, the District People's Committee issued Decision No. 1905/QD-XPVPHC, fining Ms. Th.Th.L (born in 1957, in Yen Xuan hamlet, Dien Phuc commune), owner of a food and beverage business, VND 15,000,000.

The fine is prescribed in Point a, Clause 3, Article 12 of Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP dated September 28, 2020 of the Government stipulating administrative sanctions in the field of health, for the act of "Failure to implement the decision to temporarily suspend the operation of public catering establishments at risk of spreading epidemics in epidemic areas".

Previously, at around 7:30 a.m. on June 19, 2021, the Covid-19 epidemic prevention working group of Dien Phuc commune conducted an inspection and discovered that Ms. Th.Th.L's food and beverage business was still selling food to customers at the restaurant. The working group drew up an administrative violation record against Ms. Th.Th.L for the act of "Failure to implement the decision to temporarily suspend the operation of a public food and beverage service establishment that poses a risk of spreading the epidemic in an epidemic area".

On the same day, the District People's Committee issued Decision No. 1904/QD-XPVPHC, sanctioning the owner of the Spa BN service business establishment according to the provisions of Point c, Clause 3, Article 12, Decree 117/2020/ND-CP of the Government regulating onpunishadministrative violations in the medical field, the act of "Failure to comply with the decision to stop non-essential business to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic as required by competent state agencies", the amount of VND 15,000,000.

Previously, on the morning of June 23, 2021, through the work of monitoring the area, Dien Chau District Police discovered that the Spa BN service business establishment, located in Truong Tien hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, Dien Chau district, was still open to serve customers. The Dien Chau District Police working group drew up an administrative violation record against Ms. Ng.Th.Ng (born in 1992), owner of the beauty service business establishment in Truong Tien hamlet, Dien Ngoc commune, for the act of "Failure to comply with the suspension of business activities for non-essential service business establishments to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic".

In April 2020, the owner of this Spa facility was also administratively fined once for the same violation.
