(Baonghean.vn) - After lackluster performances, SLNA Club said goodbye to two foreign players after only half a season.

On July 6, SLNA club representatives announced that they had terminated the contracts of central defender Igor Jelic and striker Bruno Henrique. Both players had only joined SLNA at the beginning of the season and played 10 matches for the club.

At the beginning of the season, when facing many difficulties in negotiating a contract with central defender Gustavo, SLNA had to choose Igor Jelic, who had just ended his contract with Da Nang, to strengthen the defense.

However, the 1989-born Serbian midfielder's performance has not lived up to the club's expectations. SLNA is still in the worst defensive group in the V.League with 15 goals conceded and is at the bottom of the rankings. Similar to Jelic, Brazilian striker Bruno Henrique has not shown much since joining SLNA. Unlike his time playing for Hong Linh Ha Tinh, in 10 matches for SLNA, the Brazilian striker's performance has been very lackluster.

Currently, SLNA Club is testing 3 foreign players. In addition to striker Olaha, 2 other players, both playing in the center-back position, come from Africa. Head coach Nguyen Huy Hoang said that these foreign players will continue to practice under the guidance of an assistant assigned by SLNA Club from the time they arrived in Vietnam until their first practice session with the team next week.
