With much better strength and form, Ulsan Hyundai easily dominated the match. Viettel had a hard-fought first half and did not concede a goal, but when the opponent increased the speed in the second half, coach Jurgen Gede's students were quickly defeated.

Within just the first 10 minutes of the second half, Ulsan Hyundai scored two goals in a row. Valeri Qazaishvili broke through three Viettel players as if there was no one there to open the score before Lukas Hinterseer doubled the gap with a header.

The Korean team played leisurely for the rest of the match but still scored another goal in the final minutes, with Oh Se-hun scoring. Viettel had a few counterattacks, but the V-League representative could not score an honorary goal and lost 0-3 in the end.

V-League's long return

Due to the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, on July 8, VPF informed V-League and First Division clubs to temporarily suspend the plan to continue organizing the 2021 national professional football tournaments instead of returning at the end of the month as planned.

This is not the first timeV.Leagueor the First Division had to be suspended due to the epidemic this season, because before that, VPF was forced to announce the postponement of many rounds and agreed to suspend after round 12 ended in May.

V-League 2021 continues to be postponed indefinitely.

The change of plan is unavoidable, and with the complicated developments of the epidemic, the exact return date of the 2021 season is almost impossible to determine, although VPF had previously agreed on a plan to play centrally in the North with 14 clubs in the V-League.

However, the decision to temporarily suspend professional tournaments at this time also received consensus from football teams as the safety of players, clubs and fans must be put first.
