Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: Do not let Covid-19 spread to medical staff
On the morning of July 11, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, inspected and encouraged staff, doctors and patients at the Tay Ninh Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital and the Tay Ninh Center for Disease Control (CDC Tay Ninh).
Currently, Tay Ninh Tuberculosis and Lung Disease Hospital is treating 42 Covid-19 patients with basically stable health.
On behalf of the Government,Prime ministervisited, encouraged, recognized and praised the efforts, spirit of hardship and sacrifice of the team, staff, doctors and nurses at the hospital.
The Prime Minister suggested that we must do everything we can to prevent the epidemic from spreading to medical staff and from the hospital to residential areas; we must strictly implement the regulations on disease prevention and control of the hospital and the Ministry of Health. We must both examine and treat patients and encourage and care for their mental health, create trust in patients, combine medicine, science, sociology, and psychology in treating diseases and improve professional quality.
The Prime Minister asked units to continue to overcome difficulties and hardships, take good care of patients both physically and mentally, following Uncle Ho's teaching "a good doctor is like a mother", and not let patients die.
The head of the Government emphasized that this anti-epidemic work is unprecedented, so we must continuously learn from experience, supplement and gradually improve.
