Information from the Vietnam Football Federation said that on the afternoon of July 13, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh awarded a Certificate of Merit to the national men's football team for their excellent achievements in qualifying for the final round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The national men's football team is also the only representative of Southeast Asia to qualify for the round of 12 best teams in Asia, competing for a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
