(Baonghean.vn) - Of the more than 2,000 people being quarantined to prevent the epidemic in Nghe An, 287 people returned from the epidemic center of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the report of the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control, on July 23, there were 14,854 people in the province being quarantined and monitored for health to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic. Of these, more than 12,000 people were quarantined or self-monitored at their place of residence. (The number of cases quarantined at home was 4,798; the number of cases monitored at home was 7,935).

Among those in centralized quarantine, there are nearly 1,200 cases that have just returned from epidemic areas across the country. Of these, the largest number are those returning from Ho Chi Minh City, with 287 people. In addition, there are nearly 300 others who also returned from Ho Chi Minh City but returned before the city implemented social distancing according to Directive 16, so they are allowed to quarantine at home.

The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province is requesting all citizens from other provinces and cities who come to Nghe An to stay or citizens in the province who go out of the province when returning must go to the nearest Health Station or Health Center to make a medical declaration and receive instructions, flow, and instructions on implementing epidemic prevention and control measures before returning home.

Currently, Nghe An province also has a plan to welcome citizens in Ho Chi Minh City who want to return to their hometown to avoid the epidemic. Accordingly, citizens who want to return to Nghe An will register through the website of the Department of Information and Communications of Nghe An province at http:// dangkyveque.nghean.gov.vn; through the Business Association, the Association of Fellow Countrymen at the district and commune levels or through the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the provinces and cities. Nghe An province will support travel expenses and centralized quarantine for those in difficulty, the remaining subjects must pay for their own travel, quarantine and testing expenses.
