The Prime Minister decided to add more than 1,500 billion VND for epidemic prevention

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just decided to add VND 1,553,518.172 million from the central budget reserve in 2021 to the Ministry of National Defense to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

The above funds are supplemented for the Ministry of National Defense to carry out the tasks assigned by the State (receiving citizens for centralized medical quarantine; controlling and preventing people from entering the country along the entire border; testing, preventing and fighting the epidemic in localities...); paying for special regimes for preventing and fighting the epidemic according to the provisions of Resolution No. 16/NQ-CP dated February 8, 2021; funding to support food and allowancesfight against Covid-19within 5 days of Lunar New Year 2021 according to the provisions of Resolution No. 17/NQ-CP dated February 9, 2021.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of National Defense to be responsible for the accuracy of the content and data of the report.

The management, use and settlement of the additional funds must comply with relevant legal regulations, for the right purpose, for the right subjects, publicly, transparently, economically and effectively.

The Prime Minister noted that the budget for ensuring barracks (essential items for citizens' daily life; barracks repair, electricity, water, vehicles, gasoline, oil, etc.) must not overlap with the budget already supplemented in Decision No. 420/QD-TTg dated March 26, 2020 of the Prime Minister on supplementing the budget for preventing and fighting the respiratory disease caused by the new strain of Corona virus and Decision No. 1384/QD-TTg dated September 8, 2020 of the Prime Minister on supplementing the budget for the Ministry of National Defense to carry out the task of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic (2nd time).
