(Baonghean.vn) - In just one day, there were 3 accidents that killed 2 people and injured 8 others. All of these people had accidents while on their way from the epidemic center to their hometown in Nghe An.
On the evening of July 31, Mr. Truong Xuan Son (46 years old, from Hamlet 7, Nghia Binh Commune, Tan Ky, Nghe An), a three-wheeled vehicle driver, took his wife and 3 children from Ho Chi Minh City back to their hometown to avoid the epidemic.
At around 11:30 p.m. the same day, the whole family went to the checkpoint on National Highway 1A, passing through village 1, Tan Duc, Ham Tan, Binh Thuan, and stopped to make a medical declaration.

However, at that moment, a truck came from behind and hit Mr. Son’s tricycle, dragging it for dozens of meters. The accident caused Mr. Son’s 16-year-old son to die on the spot, and the other four family members were taken to the emergency room. In addition, two traffic police officers at the checkpoint were also injured by the truck.

A few hours earlier, another Nghe An family also had an accident while on their way home to avoid the epidemic. Accordingly, at around 5:00 p.m. on July 31, Mr. Lau Ba Gio (29 years old, residing in Muong Luong commune, Ky Son district), drove his wife and two young children from Binh Duong to his hometown to avoid the epidemic via the Ho Chi Minh trail. When passing through Ea H'leo commune, Ea H'leo district, Dak Lak province, they collided with a tractor-trailer. The accident caused Mr. Gio to die on the spot, and his wife and two young children were taken to the emergency room by local people.
Previously, as reported by Nghe An Newspaper, in recent days, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, thousands of workers from the southern provinces have driven thousands of kilometers back to their hometowns by motorbike. Nghe An is the province with the largest number of people returning home by motorbike. During that stormy journey, there were many traffic accidents along the way.
Accordingly, also on the afternoon of July 31, Xong Ba Rong (22 years old, residing in Na Ngoi commune, Ky Son district), was driving a motorbike when he suddenly crashed into the road railing, causing him serious injuries. Rong had the accident when he was almost home, in Hien Son commune, Do Luong. According to the victim, because he had been driving from Ho Chi Minh City for 3 days and 3 nights, he was so tired that he fell asleep, leading to the accident./.
