Nghe An education sector supports officials, teachers, and workers affected by Covid epidemic

Education Industry UnionNghe An has just issued a document on support for officials, teachers and workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

Specifically,Object 1 is unit supportfrontline against the epidemicand officials, teachers, and workers affected by the epidemicCovid-19.

In particular, support for forces serving on the front lines against the epidemic, including medical facilities, field hospitals, and concentrated quarantine areas, with support levels ranging from 5 million to 10 million VND/unit.

For cadres, teachers, and workers who are F0 and are being treated for the disease and do not violate the provisions of the law on epidemic prevention and control, there will be a support level of 1 million VND/person.

For cadres, teachers, and workers who are F1 in difficult circumstances and must be quarantined at a centralized quarantine facility according to the decision of a competent State agency (not applicable to home quarantine or place of residence), and do not violate the provisions of the law on epidemic prevention and control, the industry will provide support at a level of 1 million VND/person.

In addition, the industry will support 500,000 VND/person for cadres, teachers, and workers who have a decision to apply medical isolation measures at home at the request of a competent State agency, are in difficult circumstances, female cadres, teachers, and workers who are pregnant or raising children under 6 years old; cadres, teachers, and workers who are forced to take time off work, have no salary and income due to residing in areas under lockdown at the request of a competent State agency or are working in non-public educational institutions but have to temporarily suspend the performance of their labor contracts, take unpaid leave during the term of the labor contract for 15 consecutive days or more (from May 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021).

The second support subjects are grassroots union officials participating in epidemic prevention and control.

Accordingly, trade union officials who are directly responsible for propaganda, mobilization, inspection, and supervision of epidemic prevention and control at their units; participating in supporting tracing, testing, screening, and counting workers in quarantine and blockade areas; giving and distributing gifts to directly support units and workers in quarantine and blockade areas during the 4th wave of the epidemic, from April 27, 2021, will receive a support level of VND 120,000/person/day, including holidays, depending on the nature, level of work, and actual number of days of fighting the epidemic, but not exceeding VND 1,500,000/person.

In addition, union officials participating in epidemic prevention and control who are infected with Covid-19 (F0) or must apply centralized medical isolation measures; the support level is 1,500,000 VND/person.

Regarding the support policy for cadres, teachers and workers, Mr. Dang Van Hai - Chairman of the Education Trade Union said: Although the level of support is not much, we hope to promptly encourage cadres, teachers, workers and those who are participating in the front line against the epidemic.

Immediately after issuing the document, we also requested the grassroots trade union to compile a list of cadres, teachers, and workers affected by the Covid-19 epidemic and send it to the Nghe An Education Trade Union to request support and ensure the principle: Each subject is only supported once, if cadres, teachers, and workers belong to many subjects entitled to different levels of support, they will only receive the highest level of support.

Previously, according to a survey by the Nghe An Education Trade Union: Hundreds of officials, teachers, and workers have participated in the frontline of the fight against the epidemic as well as supported localities at centralized quarantine points, especially at more than 500 schools being requisitioned as quarantine areas.

Up to this point, the industry has also supported 50 million VND for teachers on the front lines against the epidemic in localities such as Vinh city (20 million VND) and Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Quynh Luu districts, each locality 10 million VND.
