(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 12, before the opening of the second session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council came to offer flowers at the statue of Uncle Ho at Ho Chi Minh Square.

The second session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026, was shortened to 1.5 days (from August 12-13, 2021), ensuring both the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic and the quality of the session.

This session will not hold a question-and-answer session or a group discussion session. However, pressing and prominent issues of concern to voters, reported by the press, will be considered by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to select the content of the question-and-answer session and request explanations at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.

The second session, term 2021-2026, will review and evaluate the implementation of the province's socio-economic development plan in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2021; report on the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of policies to support workers and employers facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and related reports on resolving voters' opinions and recommendations.

The Provincial People's Council will also consider and approve draft 25 Resolutions on socio-economic, national defense and security in the province and decide on a number of important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

To meet the requirements of administrative reform and promote the application of information technology, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has advocated the application of information technology in management and all documents will be sent in advance to delegates via email and document management software.
