Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease ControlNghe AnInformation: Regarding the outbreak at Vinh Wholesale Market, 6 positive cases have been recorded, including 4 in Vinh city, 1 in Hoang Mai town and 1 in Nghi Loc district.

In particular, recently, through PCR testing, the Provincial Center for Disease Control discovered 2 more pooled samples with positive results for SARS-CoV-2 virus. These 2 pooled samples were taken from the community and the locked-down area in Vinh Tan ward,Vinh city.

Currently, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control is taking samples from each person for PCR testing to identify specific patients. Thus, at first, it shows that at least 8 positive cases are related to Vinh Wholesale Market.

It is forecasted that F1 samples, pooled samples in locked-down areas, and the community will continue to have positive cases. Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh suggested: Units urgently search for people related to the wholesale market, strictly isolate, quickly collect samples and investigate F0 as soon as the rapid test is positive or there is a suspected positive PCR screening result, thoroughly trace F1, F2... to promptly prevent the epidemic.
