Nghe An requests to increase penalties for people in quarantine areas who go out without a valid reason
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requested localities implementing Directive 16 to strengthen administrative penalties for cases where people leave their homes not in the prescribed cases and without a valid reason.
On the morning of August 18, the People's Committee of Nghe An province sent an urgent document to departments, branches and localities in the province regarding the implementation of measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic when implementing Directive 16.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requires units and localities when implementing social distancing according to Directive 16 to base on the nature of the work, take responsibility for organizing for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to work from home in accordance with the specific conditions of the agency. Do not let work stagnate, especially work with deadlines and statutes of limitations according to the provisions of law, public services serving people and businesses. The head of the agency or unit is responsible for the infection of cadres and employees due to failure to strictly comply with regulations on disease prevention and control at the workplace.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested units and localities to apply a plan to arrange for employees to work in rotation at the office, not exceeding 50%. (For the armed forces, the health sector, and forces related to the fight against the epidemic, etc., ensure 100% of the staff).
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee requires units and localities to issue travel permits to cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers according to their assigned work schedules. Strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health.
“The Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns shall direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to issue market tickets to households; organize patrol and surveillance teams to prevent large gatherings and strictly handle violations of epidemic prevention and control work; especially strengthen administrative sanctions for cases of people leaving their homes that are not in the prescribed cases and without a valid reason,” stated the urgent document of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.
From June 13 to now, Nghe An province has recorded 614 cases of Covid-19 in 20 localities. Of which, Quynh Luu: 131 cases, Vinh City: 127, Yen Thanh: 66, Ky Son: 42, Dien Chau: 33, Tuong Duong: 29, Nghi Loc: 30, Que Phong: 21, Hoang Mai: 17, Anh Son: 13, Cua Lo: 13, Nam Dan: 13, Do Luong: 11, Quy Hop: 9, Thanh Chuong: 9, Con Cuong: 8, Tan Ky: 7, Hung Nguyen: 25, Thai Hoa: 6, Nghia Dan: 4.
In particular, in recent days, dozens of cases have been recorded every day, most of which are related to Vinh wholesale market. Currently, Vinh city is under social isolation according to Directive 16. Cua Lo town and Nghi Loc district will also be under social isolation according to Directive 16 from 0:00 on August 19. In addition, Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen, Quynh Luu districts and Thai Hoa town are under social distancing according to Directive 15. Experts say that the number of cases in Nghe An will increase in the coming days.
