Timely extinguishing of forest fire in Thanh Chuong district
(Baonghean.vn) - This afternoon (August 22), a forest fire broke out in the border area between Thanh Dong commune and Thanh Chuong town, Thanh Chuong district.
According to information received, the fire broke out at around 1:00 p.m. in Thanh Dong 5 village, bordering Thanh Dong commune and Thanh Chuong town. This is a production forest area of about 5 households.

Receiving the news, the forest rangersThanh Chuong districtIn coordination with Thanh Dong Commune Police, Thanh Chuong Town and the Dai Dong cluster forest fire prevention and fighting youth team, we used available equipment such as blowers, fire extinguishers, and machetes to fight the forest fire.

In hot weather conditions, strong winds and high mountain areas, fire fighting was difficult. However, with close coordination of local forces participating in fire fighting, after about 3 hours of actively extinguishing the fire,firecontrolled. Estimated damage is about 1 hectare of people's production acacia forest.
Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated by local authorities.
