Vinh Diocese sends 40 Sisters to take Covid-19 test samples in Vinh city

The 40 Sisters participating in the Covid-19 community screening test in Vinh city this time are all medically trained. According to the assignment, the Sisters have returned to perform their duties at community sampling points in Nghi Phu and Hung Dong communes (Vinh city).

On the afternoon and evening of September 2, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health and Priest Gerardo Nguyen Nam Viet - Head of the Communications Department of Vinh Diocese, Chief of the Office of the Bishop's House visited community sampling points to encourage medical staff and Sisters to carry out their duties.

At the sampling points, Vinh city residents have complied with epidemic prevention regulations; fully implemented the requirements of medical staff; consciously protected their own health and that of the community... By 8:00 p.m. the same day, the sampling points in Nghi Phu and Hung Dong communes basically completed the collection of rapid community testing samples. In the vast majority of points, no suspicious test samples appeared.

Previously, on August 30, Bishop of Vinh Anphong Diocese Nguyen Huu Long sent 20 Sisters of the Congregation of Lovers of the Holy Cross to participate in taking rapid test samples to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town.

Information from the Vinh Diocese Bishop's House: In the coming time, when there is a request from the Nghe An health sector, the Bishop's House will continue to support human resources to prevent and fight the Covid-19 epidemic, including performing tasks in areas where the epidemic is complicated such as locked down areas or participating in the Field Hospital to treat Covid-19 patients.
