Vinh City: Wards and communes simultaneously open food sales points for people
(Baonghean.vn) - In the condition that some wards and communes have few supermarkets, while markets are still closed, many localities in Vinh City have joined together to set up food sales points for people.

According to the plan, the locality chose 2 locations to open booths. The first location at the ward's central stadium will sell food to 6 blocks; the second location at Trung Nghia Stadium will sell food to people in the remaining blocks.

According to the reporter's records on September 8, at the first food selling point in Dong Vinh ward, there were many people coming to buy goods. The ward's veterans were present from early morning to maintain order, check people's purchase papers, and at the same time measure body temperature and disinfect according to regulations.
Mr. Ta Van Son - Chairman of the Veterans Association of Dong Vinh Ward said: On September 8, about 300 people came to buy goods. The point of sale was originally planned to open at the ward stadium, but due to the impact of the storm and heavy rain, it had to be moved to the block's cultural house. The food at the point of sale is very diverse, imported from localities in and outside the city. For example, vegetables, tubers, and fruits are imported from Nam Dan district; ducks and chickens from Nghi Duc and Hung Chinh communes. In addition, there are foods grown by the ward's residents that are also sold here...".

Mr. Tran Hoang Song - Chairman of Doi Cung Ward People's Committee said: "Immediately after Vinh City allowed wards and communes to open food sales points for people, the ward researched and immediately contacted suppliers to implement. Accordingly, we cooperate with the Department of Science and Technology to sell vegetables, fish, and meat; eggs and chicken are linked with farms... If people do not come to buy directly, they can register by block, residential group and will be delivered by the Women's Union, the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the amount of food is always guaranteed for people to feel secure in fighting the epidemic".
Not only Dong Vinh and Doi Cung, but other wards and communes in Vinh City have also simultaneously opened food and essential goods stalls for people.
