(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 8, the Nghe An Center for Disease Control (CDC) informed: In the past 12 hours (from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on September 8), Nghe An recorded 2 new community infections positive for Covid-19 in Que Phong district.

Thus, in the past 24 hours, 08 positive cases were detected (04 community cases, 04 previously quarantined cases) in 04 localities: Dien Chau: 03 cases, Vinh City: 02 cases, Do Luong: 01 case, Que Phong: 02 cases.

With these two new community infections, Que Phong has had its second outbreak, following the outbreak in Lien Hop village, Tri Le commune with five cases discovered on the afternoon of September 6 and the morning of September 7.

Currently, Que Phong district has begun to implement social distancing according to Directive 15 to prevent the epidemic; only Tri Le and Muong Noc communes will implement social distancing according to Directive 16.

No new cases have been reported in other areas of the province. The red zone has narrowed to Vinh city. The green zone continues to expand.

Thus, since the beginning of the epidemic season until now, the province has recorded1,754 patients with Covid-19in 21 localities: Vinh City: 624, Yen Thanh: 198, Dien Chau: 181, Quynh Luu: 146, Nam Dan: 81, Cua Lo: 80, Nghi Loc: 65, Ky Son: 62, Hung Nguyen: 61, Que Phong: 47, Do Luong: 42, Tuong Duong: 29, Tan Ky: 24, Nghia Dan: 24, Hoang Mai: 22, Con Cuong: 16, Thanh Chuong: 16, Anh Son: 15, Quy Hop: 14, Thai Hoa: 06, Quy Chau: 01.

Cumulative number of patients who have been cured, discharged, or transferred to higher levels: 858 patients. Cumulative number of deaths: 06. Number of patients currently being treated: 890 patients.

* Specific information of new positive patients is as follows:

1. Patient VTH, female, born in 1991.Address: Phong Quang Hamlet, Muong Noc Commune, Que Phong District. On September 7, the patient showed symptoms of fever and fatigue, went to Que Phong District Medical Center for examination and had a rapid test sample taken with a positive result, then the patient had a RT-PCR test sample taken and sent to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, on September 8 the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

2. Patient HVLT, male, born in 2012.Address: Phong Quang Hamlet, Muong Nooc, Que Phong. The patient is the child of patient VTH who was announced at the same time. On September 7, after patient VTH had a positive rapid test result, patient HVLT had a sample taken for RT-PCR testing and sent to Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, on September 8 the result also confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
