Vinh City: Urgently investigate and trace after discovering 3 more positive cases in quarantine area

On the afternoon of September 15, Vinh City had 3 more infections.Covid-19new in the centralized medical isolation area. These are 3 F1 cases converted to F0. The 3 new patients are: Patient NSL (male, born in 1988, in hamlet 7 - Nghi Phu commune); patient NTTL (female, born in 2010, in hamlet 7 - Nghi Phu commune); patient NHĐ (male, born in 2015, in hamlet 7 - Nghi Phu commune). The source of infection for the three father and son NSL patients was from patient PTM (female, born in 1986, wife of patient NSL) and patient NTT (female, born in 2009, child of patient NSL and patient PTM).

Previously, the two cases PTM and NTT were F1 subjects and were sent to centralized medical isolation for 14 days. On August 31, the two cases were allowed to return home and continued to be isolated at home for 14 days according to regulations. On September 9, the two cases PTM and NTT were tested and the results were positive forCovid-19and transfer to hospital for treatment...

Immediately after that, the patient's family's living area was strictly quarantined. The remaining 3 family members, NSL, NTTL and NHĐ, were taken to centralized quarantine. On September 15, the 3 people, NSL, NTTL and NHĐ, were sampled for the second time and confirmed to be infected with Covid-19.

Realizing that there was an infection during the time the two patients PTM and NTT were isolated at home; there was a risk of spreading the infection to the community, Vinh City and the Department of Health urgently conducted an investigation, carefully tracing back the home isolation process of the two patients PTM and NTT, as well as the contact history of all 5 patients. So far, 7 related F1 cases have been temporarily identified.

Vinh City and the Department of Health have directed Vinh City Medical Center and Nghi Phu Commune to temporarily block off the area where F1 cases live; spray disinfectants; take samples for testing of F1 cases and people living in the temporarily blocked area; and send F1 cases to centralized medical quarantine.
