Mr. Cao Van Cuong - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Deputy Permanent Commander of the Hung Loc Commune Epidemic Prevention and Control Command Center said: "We have anticipated that many people in other wards and communes will also come to the market to buy and sell when other markets are not open yet, so we have a plan to control the number of people entering by distributing ballots. After distributing all 100 ballots, we will temporarily stop to ensure that there are only a maximum of 100 buyers and sellers in the market.

In addition, the commune has invested in installing an automatic disinfection chamber at the entrance to the market to disinfect people. Strict control of epidemic prevention work here will be maintained until the city has a new announcement."

Ms. Le Thi Huong, a vegetable and fruit seller, said: “I am very excited to be able to resume business after a long period of closure. Before that, I invested nearly 2 million VND in installing partitions, sprayed with alcohol to disinfect the sales table, and provided hand sanitizer for customers. I use medical gloves during sales, changing gloves about once an hour. This is a way to protect myself and customers, minimize the spread of disease, and stabilize business.”

Ms. Tran Thi My Ha - Head of Trade Management Department, Department of Industry and Trade said: "Through surprise inspections, I found that the epidemic prevention and control work at Coi market is very serious and in accordance with regulations. However, it is important to note that this tightening of control needs to be maintained throughout the process, and must not be neglected or loosened because the risk of epidemics at traditional markets is extremely complicated."

Previously, on September 13, the Department of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Vinh City directly inspected and assessed the plan to ensure safety and epidemic prevention at traditional markets in the city. "The reopening of essential food businesses at traditional markets is very important, helping to significantly improve the overload situation at supermarkets and stores, while providing a more abundant food source for city residents, solving the problem of local shortages of goods for people in some areas.

However, reopening businesses must be done with extreme caution. In addition to ensuring safety and disease control as mandatory requirements, markets must have measures to control traffic flow, density of vendors selling goods, density of shoppers ensuring "5K"; organize buying and selling to avoid maximum contact between vendors and buyers...".
