(Baonghean.vn) - Provincial leaders requested localities to develop vaccination plans according to each vaccine allocation scale of the province, to avoid confusion in selecting subjects and arranging vaccination sites when a large number of vaccines are allocated.

On the afternoon of September 14, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held an online conference on Covid-19 vaccination. Comrades Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Covid-19 Vaccination Committee and Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health co-chaired the conference at the Provincial People's Committee bridge.

Up to now, Nghe An has deployed 13 Covid-19 vaccination campaigns with246,945injection,70,143people who have received 2 doses. According to Director of the Department of Health Duong Dinh Chinh, a few days ago, Nghe An received an additional 200,000 doses of AtraZeneca and 11,700 doses of Pfizer. Currently, localities are implementing the 14th and 15th vaccination rounds. Thus, Nghe An has been allocated more than 440,000 doses of various vaccines. It is expected that there will be many vaccine allocation rounds for Nghe An in late September and early October.

According to the Department of Health's assessment, the participation of local authorities at all levels in vaccination activities at vaccination sites has been limited in recent times, leading to insecurity and disorder in the organization of some vaccination sites, and failure to ensure social distancing in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Specifically, communication work to raise people's awareness of disease prevention and control at vaccination sites has not received attention. The implementation at some vaccination sites is unscientific, confusing, and does not ensure security, order, and disease prevention and control during the vaccination process, such as the vaccination site at Le Mao Primary School deployed by the Vinh City People's Committee.

“The Steering Committee for the implementation of the vaccination campaign at the district level has not really taken action to mobilize the entire political system to participate in the vaccination organization work. Some localities consider this a task of the health sector…”, the report of the Nghe An Department of Health stated. In addition, at the conference, localities also raised a number of difficulties and obstacles in the vaccination work.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Bui Dinh Long assessed that after 13 vaccination rounds, the results were as planned and safe. Some localities have also been flexible in vaccination work.

However, it also shows many shortcomings and difficulties such as the work of compiling the list of vaccinated subjects is still confusing. Updating information on the electronic information portal, providing vaccination certificates via QR code is slow, only 2 hospitals can do it. Especially, there is a situation of jostling at some vaccination points...

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that districts, cities and towns issue plans to organize vaccination work in the area, clearly assigning responsibilities to departments, branches, organizations, unions and the participation of people in the organization process. Develop plans to organize vaccination according to each scale of vaccine allocation in the province, avoiding confusion in selecting subjects and arranging vaccination points when a large number of vaccines are allocated.

In particular, the allocation and vaccination of vaccines must be carried out for the right subjects according to the regulations of the Ministry of Health. Ensuring social distancing, security and order at vaccination sites. Avoiding crowding... "If any district does not do well, vaccines will be transferred to other localities," said the Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Vaccination.
