Female employee confessed to 'stealing nearly 10kg of gold to invest in virtual currency'
During her time working at a gold shop from 2016 to 2021, Luong Thi Nhung (28 years old, Binh Phuoc province) stole nearly 10kg of gold. The defendant said she used the money from selling gold to invest in virtual currency.
Recently, the case of female employee Luong Thi Nhung (28 years old, residing in Tan Xuan ward, Dong Xoai city, Binh Phuoc province) stealing a "huge" amount of gold during her working time at Kim Huong 1 gold shop, located in Tan Binh ward, Dong Xoai city, is attracting public attention.
Luong Thi Nhung was a saleswoman for Kim Huong 1 gold shop from 2016 until her arrest. The female employee's crime lasted from 2018 until now when it was discovered.

According to the gold shop representative’s declaration to Dong Xoai City Police, the amount of gold that was lost was 2,386 products of various types that had been crafted. The total amount of lost assets was 259 taels of gold (weighing nearly 10kg). Including the cost of crafting, the total value of the lost gold was more than 9.6 billion VND.
During the search of Luong Thi Nhung's residence in Tan Xuan neighborhood, Tan Xuan ward, the police seized many papers and documents related to the theft, along with some jewelry that Nhung claimed was fake gold.
After stealing the gold, Nhung asked her relatives to sell it or pawn it at different gold shops in Dong Xoai city and Dong Phu district. Nhung said she used nearly ten billion VND from selling the stolen gold to invest invirtual moneyonline
