Speaking after the match, head coach Mai Duc Chung said he was satisfied with the score but not really satisfied with the team's playing style:“Our scoring efficiency is not good, especially in the first half, the players missed a lot of situations. If the efficiency was good, we could have scored 20 or even more than 20 goals. That is a weakness, in tomorrow morning's training session we will continue to overcome this. Because the opponent is too weak, not because we are strong.

Through this match, we are satisfied with the score but still have to learn from the experience and focus on the next match to do better. Tomorrow morning we will train the reserve players, not playing and playing less, continue to have physical strength; overcome the scoring situations better to improve the scoring efficiency for the next match. The next match we will play against the home team, it will definitely be more difficult than this match."

The next match of Group B, the Vietnamese women's team will meet host Tajikistan at 8:00 p.m. on September 29.
