(Baonghean.vn) - To have more opportunities to play in the future, Nguyen Sy Nam has decided to leave SLNA after many years of association.

Nguyen Sy Nam is a player born in 1993.SLNA training center, along with Que Ngoc Hai, Pham Manh Hung... In the past, defender Anh Son won the championship at the 2009 National U17 finals, a tournament held at Thien Truong Stadium (Nam Dinh).

Thanks to his impressive performances for SLNA U17 and U19, Nguyen Sy Nam was called up to Vietnam U19 by coach Mai Duc Chung (in 2012). Unfortunately, Nguyen Sy Nam was not on the final list to participate in the AFF U19 Cup that year.

Before returning to serve SLNA's first team, Nguyen Sy Nam had spent time playing for lower-division teams on loan, typically Ho Chi Minh City Club in the second leg of V.League 2016. The 2016 National First Division Championship of the Thong Nhat Stadium team was largely due to the 28-year-old right-back.

After playing for Ho Chi Minh City Club, at the beginning of the 2017 season, Nguyen Sy Nam was recalled to Vinh Stadium by SLNA. In his first season serving his hometown team, Nguyen Sy Nam won the 2017 National Cup, despite often having to be on the bench.

Three years ago, English player Son was given a new contract by SLNA. However, Nguyen Sy Nam’s situation at Vinh Stadium was not brighter when he had to be a backup for his junior Pham Xuan Manh. In some matches, Nguyen Sy Nam even had to take on positions that were not his forte.

Overall, during his time playing for SLNA, Nguyen Sy Nam has also shown his inherent ability. The goal against Topenland Binh Dinh in the 2020 National Cup qualifying round is the most impressive mark of Nguyen Sy Nam in the jersey of his hometown team.

Nguyen Sy Nam shared: "I would like to send my greetings and sincere thanks to the SLNA Board of Directors, teachers, teammates and especially Nghe An football fans. At Vinh Stadium, I had extremely memorable memories. Wherever I go, I still turn to SLNA."

Hopefully, Nguyen Sy Nam will quickly find a new destination to develop his career and reap more success. It is known that, in addition to Nguyen Sy Nam's case, the Nghe An team also said goodbye to midfielder Cao Xuan Thang, a player also from the 1993 generation./.
