According to Mr. Long, Ms. Van was considered responsible for being involved in the community case discovered on September 25 in Vinh Tan Ward. Accordingly, on September 12, this woman went to the Cua Nam Ward Health Station to buy medicine. At that time, she told the medical staff there that she had phlegm in her throat and needed to buy phlegm medicine.

"According to regulations, people who come to buy medicine and have such symptoms must be asked to make a medical declaration and do a rapid test. However, the medical station then sold medicine without doing so. Even though Ms. Van was not on duty that day, she still had to take responsibility as the leader," said Mr. Long.

On September 25, this woman had symptoms of chest pain and fatigue, so she went to Thai An General Hospital for a rapid test, the results showed that she was infected with Covid-19. This infection ended a 10-day streak in Vinh City without detecting community cases.

So far, the patient's husband and children, along with a 104-year-old man in Ben Thuy ward who had contact with this woman, have also been infected with Covid-19.
