(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of September 29, Nghe An discovered 9 new cases of community Covid-19 infection in Nghi Hai ward, Cua Lo town and Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district.

Early morning of September 30, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center, Director of the Department of Health had an urgent meeting with the leaders of Cua Lo town and Nghi Loc district when these two localities had new Covid-19 infections in the community... Also attending were leaders of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Nghe An province.
9 cases of community Covid-19 infection in 2 districts and towns
According to the town reportCua Lo: In Nghi Hai ward, 08 F0s have just appeared in a family, including the following patients: 1. Patient HTT (born in 1939); 2. Patient NTH (born in 1965); 3. Patient NTĐ (born in 1964); 4. Patient D.TT (born in 1993); 5. Patient NTLC (born in 2001); 6. Patient NTTT (born in 2007); 7. Patient N.D.KN (born in 2000); 8. Patient NBGH (born in 2017).
On the afternoon of September 29, Cua Lo town conducted rapid testing.Covid-19periodically for traders at Dong Trang market and Khang Huy fish market in the area. When performing rapid testing, Nghi Hai Ward Health Station discovered 01 positive pooled sample (3 people). Next, the station took rapid test samples and PCR samples for all 3 people; sent to Nghe An CDC for confirmation testing.
The results of the rapid test showed that Ms. VTH (born in 1959) in Khanh Trang hamlet, Nghi Xuan commune, Nghi Loc district often went to Khang Huy fish market to get fish to sell at the gate of Mai Trang market and other locations in the area, suspected of being infected with Covid-19.

Immediately after the suspected cases appeared, Cua Lo town immediately deployed anti-epidemic solutions such as temporarily blocking Hai Giang 2 block; zoning and blocking; implementing social isolation in the entire Nghi Hai ward; investigating and tracing F1; organizing rapid Covid-19 testing for 2,761 people in Hai Giang 2 block.

At the urgent meeting, the leaders of Nghe An CDC analyzed and clearly assessed the situation: These are dangerous community infections. It is even more dangerous because Nghi Hai ward is a densely populated area; bustling trading activities, related to many neighboring areas. The patients were all infected in the last 5-7 days.

Cua Lo needs to organize testing of high-risk subjects at night first, then collect samples for testing of the entire community of Hai Giang 2 block; disinfect and sterilize related locations; implement blockade, immediately establish a medical isolation area in Hai Giang 2 hamlet, strictly implement "no one in, no one out". The entire Nghi Hai ward implements social isolation according to Directive 16.

In particular, Nghi Loc needs to continue investigating all related subjects and organize centralized isolation of 36 F1s that have been traced; set up medical isolation areas in residential areas of Khanh Trang hamlet; organize sample collection for people as soon as possible; develop response scenarios if the epidemic spreads widely. The district continues to promote "4 on-site", mobilize the entire political system to participate and rely on people to effectively fight the epidemic./.
