Military Region 4 opens the 2021 Militia and Self-Defense Law Competition
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 4, at the Military School of Military Region 4, the Military Region 4 Command held the opening ceremony of the 2021 Militia and Self-Defense Law Competition.
Attending the opening ceremony were Major General Pham Quang Ngan - Director of the Militia and Self-Defense Department of the General Staff, Ministry of National Defense; Lieutenant General Tran Vo Dung - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4; Major General Ha Tho Binh - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lieutenant Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Commander of the Provincial Military Command.

During the 3 days (from October 4 to 6), 66 contestants were: Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command; Head of the Provincial Militia and Self-Defense Force; Commander of the District Military Command; Commander of the Commune Military Command; Political Commissar of the Commune Military Command, going through 2 general exams, including: Exam on legal awareness ofmilitiaby multiple choice method and K54 shooting.

The exam content is specific to the following subjects: Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command and Commander of the District Military Command advise on the development and reporting of the Project "Organizing forces, training activities and ensuring regimes and policies for the Militia and Self-Defense Force in the period of 2021-2025"; Head of the Provincial Militia and Self-Defense Force advises on the development and reporting of the plan to expand the Militia and Self-Defense Force in the state of combat readiness; Commander of the Commune Military Command reports on the plan to organize forces, train and ensure regimes and policies for the commune-level militia; Political Commissar of the Commune Military Command drafts and practices teaching a topic of political and legal education for the commune-level militia.

Through the contest, the aim is to propagate, disseminate and raise awareness of the law on militia and self-defense forces, the responsibility of advising, directing and organizing the implementation of militia and self-defense forces for the leading cadres of local military agencies at all levels. This is also an opportunity for contestants to exchange and share knowledge, experience and flexibly and creatively apply it in the process of performing tasks, contributing to bringing the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces into life.
At the end of the contest, the Military Region will select officers and form a team to participate in the National Militia and Self-Defense Law Contest.
