The Party Secretary of the commune brought his son who was in centralized quarantine home to 'make a wish'.
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 2, the leader of Ky Son district said that the district has just decided to suspend Mr. Xong Va Denh - Party Secretary, Head of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Committee of Na Ngoi commune for 30 days due to lack of responsibility and lack of exemplary role in epidemic prevention work.
Mr. Mua Ba Gio - Chairman of Na Ngoi Commune People's Committee said that on September 14, Mr. Denh's son, Xong Ba Tu, returned to his hometown in Na Ngoi from Vinh City. At that time, Vinh City was implementing Directive 15; to ensure safety in epidemic prevention and control, the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee of Na Ngoi Commune still instructed Xong Ba Tu to carry out centralized isolation in Na Cang village for 14 days. However, on September 18, Mr. Denh and his wife came to pick Tu up to "make a wish" and study online even though he had only been isolated for 4 days.
Seeing Tu being given preferential treatment, many other people who were being quarantined here protested by calling their families to pick them up and not continuing to quarantine as prescribed. The incident was then reported to the Covid-19 Prevention Steering Committee of Ky Son district.

Authorities then sealed off the house where Mr. Denh was living and took his family members to centralized quarantine.
