On October 4, 1961, President Ho Chi Minh signed and promulgated the Ordinance regulating State management of fire prevention and fighting (PCCC). On June 4, 1996, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 369-TTg, taking October 4 as National Fire Prevention and Fighting Day.
