Ministry of Education and Training announces graduation exam and university admission plan for 2022
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the plan to organize the High School Graduation Exam and University and College Admissions in 2022.
Accordingly,high school graduation exam 2022The organization is basically stable as in 2021.
Provinces/cities directly under the Central Government (hereinafter referred to as provinces) shall preside over all examination organization work in the locality according to the examination time frame prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training. The examination time in the provinces may be considered and adjusted in accordance with the local epidemic situation.
The exam content is within the current high school education program, mainly the 12th grade program; it does not include the simplified content to serve teaching and learning to respond to the Covid-19 epidemic as announced by the Ministry of Education and Training.
The test is designed to meet the requirements of the exam, ensuring appropriate differentiation and limiting rote learning, biased learning, and encouraging candidates' creativity.

'Hot' universities should only use graduation exam results for preliminary selection
The Ministry of Education and Training will develop the structure and format of the exam, publish reference exam questions; complete the exam question bank to combine into exam questions using specialized software, provide it to localities organizing exams, ensuring balance between regions, provinces and between exam sessions (if multiple exam sessions are organized).
Universities and colleges exercise autonomy in enrollment according to the provisions of law and regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training; carry out enrollment work according to the school's enrollment plan, ensuring fairness for target groups and enrollment methods.
The Ministry of Education and Training recommends that universities and majors with high competition levels only use high school graduation exam results as a screening and preliminary selection tool, and then need to have additional forms of selection to better classify the selection target. National universities, regional universities and schools/groups of universities that have fully prepared the conditions can organize assessment exams as a basis for university and college admissions in 2022 and share and support other schools in need.
The Ministry of Education and Training will work with localities to inspect and examine all stages of the exam to ensure safety, seriousness, practicality, objectivity and fairness.
Regarding the high school exam plan for the years 2023-2025, the Ministry of Education and Training will complete the plan, widely consult with relevant parties and will announce it in the first quarter of 2022.
