Military Region 4 Command inspects flood response preparations in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 6, Major General Ha Tho Binh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, inspected combat readiness and flood response preparations at the Military Commands of Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts, Nghe An province.
Also attending were Major General Phan Van Sy, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Military Region; Colonel Le Van Vy, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region.

Due to the influence of the tropical depression, on October 5 and 6, 2021, there will be very heavy rain in Military Region 4, especially in Nghe An province, which may cause flooding. To promptly respond to floods,Military Region 4 Commandinspected and directed units to do a good job of preparing to respond to floods at the units.

After checking the maintenance of duty, command duty, and combat readiness; checking the means and materials ready to carry out rescue missions when floods occur and checking the unit's weapons and equipment warehouse, Major General Ha Tho Binh, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, requested the Military Commands of Nam Dan, Hung Nguyen and Nghi Loc districts to regularly monitor the developments of floods, review and supplement, and develop plans and solutions for rescue when situations occur in the area.

In particular, advise and coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and forces to prepare forces and means to be ready to respond to floods and landslides; especially in vulnerable areas that may be prone to flash floods, landslides, and flooding due to heavy rains to ensure people's safety.
