Tan Ky 'turns around' to integrate
(Baonghean.vn) - Tan Ky is one of three districts of Nghe An where the legendary Truong Son road, now also known as Ho Chi Minh road, passes through. It is the only locality with the special National Monument Km 0 - Ho Chi Minh road. This is also the locality listed by UNESCO as a site in the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve. With a favorable geographical location, industrious and creative people and a rich cultural identity associated with majestic nature, Tan Ky is on the path of constant development; making a strong mark on the map of Nghe An land.
Increased income, improved infrastructure
The vital Ho Chi Minh Road stretches through 11 provinces and cities of the country, of which nearly 40km passes through Tan Ky district. This is a very valuable road for military and national defense, contributing to the circulation of goods, hunger eradication and poverty reduction, and socio-economic development. This route connects from North to South, with border gates to Laos: Thanh Thuy, Nam Can, Thong Thu, playing a role in the transit of goods and comprehensive development of the rural landscape.

Therefore, to continue promoting economic development and attracting investment in advantageous fields, Tan Ky has selected investors with real potential so that large programs and dynamic projects have high feasibility when implemented in the fields of: high-tech agriculture; livestock farming associated with processing; mineral exploitation and processing; garment industry.
The district has also successfully called for and is developing the Western Urban Area of Tan Ky town in Ky Son commune, with a total area of 15.7 hectares and a population of about 1,200 people. This new urban area is planned and designed with full facilities, synchronous landscape architecture, technical infrastructure, social infrastructure in the direction of sustainable development and environmental protection. This will be a service and commercial urban area combining entertainment and residential living in the future, demonstrating the determination of the district leaders to build a modern and innovative Tan Ky.
Traffic is the "blood vessel" of development, so another wish of the government and people of Tan Ky is to soon complete the investment project to build the N5 traffic route from Hoa Son - Do Luong to Tan Long - Tan Ky. As if "given wings", the N5 route from Do Luong - Tan Ky is expected to unleash the potential of Western Nghe An, especially the comprehensive strengths of Tan Ky in connecting traffic infrastructure, creating the most favorable conditions for investors when choosing Tan Ky in particular and Nghe An to invest in large-scale projects.

Tan Ky has a very favorable position to expand economic and cultural exchanges with regions in the province and in the country. To the North, Tan Ky is almost connected to the entire land of Phu Quy ancient. With an inter-regional vision, economic development planning, we can place Tan Ky in a whole space with industrial crop growing areas such as coffee, rubber, or fruit trees with large areas capable of supplying factories with modern equipment and large capacity; Planning raw sugarcane areas for Telair Quy Hop Sugar Factory. Or planning raw grass growing areas to serve TH Milk Factory with the largest capacity in the country in Nghia Dan.
To the East, Tan Ky borders Do Luong district and Anh Son district, and other districts that have both mountainous and plain elements. This is the basis for planning to open new directions for large economic projects in Tan Ky land.
In addition, Tan Ky also borders Yen Thanh and Quynh Luu in the East and Northeast. These are two districts with large areas, dense population, large labor force, high level of education and tradition of hard work and creativity to promptly respond to large economic projects.
With its potential strengths in industry and agriculture, many investors and businesses have been anticipating the economic "boom" of Tan Ky to build promising large-scale projects. Among them, tunnel factories and food companies have begun to take shape and create strong impressions. Notably, the district has started construction of Minh Anh Tan Ky Garment Joint Stock Company on an area of 9 hectares in Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky district with a total investment of about 500 billion VND. After coming into operation, Minh Anh Tan Ky Garment Joint Stock Company will create jobs for about 6,500 workers. In addition, Tan Ky is also a locality with advantages in exploiting and developing construction materials such as sand and gravel mine reserves and especially the famous Cua tile brand.
If viewed from the regional cultural perspective, it is clear that Tan Ky is located in a large cultural space of the lower middle Lam River region. This is one of the cultural regions with many typical and unique cultural values that our ancestors have ranked on par with other cultural regions such as Lang, Thanh, Hue, Quang, etc. This favorable location and resources allow Tan Ky to integrate with the regional and world communities without being dissolved in the cultural and civilized flow of humanity.
