During the process of making compensation plans and supporting the construction of some items at the Nhan Co Industrial Park project, some officials paid and supported incorrect compensation with a total amount of more than 8.5 billion VND.
On the afternoon of October 9, information from the Investigation Police Agency of Dak Nong Provincial Police said that the unit had issued a decision to prosecute the accused, executed an arrest warrant and urgently searched the accused: Le Van A (49 years old, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Dak R'lap district), Nguyen Ngoc Hiep (39 years old, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhan Co commune), Pham Van Dung (53 years old, cadastral officer of Nhan Co commune), Le Van Nga (31 years old, employee of the Dak R'lap District Project Management Board) and Phan Van Thoi (former Deputy Director of the Dak R'lap District Project Management Board) to investigate and clarify the act of "Violating regulations on compensation, support and resettlement when the Stateland acquisition"

According to the Investigation Agency, in the process of making compensation plans and paying support for a number of items such as upgrading the water level of reservoir No. 4, the main road of National Highway 14 to Nhan Co Industrial Park (phase 3), the above officials did not comply with the provisions of the law, leading to the payment of compensation to households not in accordance with regulations, causing a loss of more than 8.5 billion VND.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by the Dak Nong Provincial Police Investigation Agency to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
