Awarding the Decision to appoint Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper

On the morning of October 11, in Vinh City, Nghe An Newspaper held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint the Editor-in-Chief.

Attending the ceremony were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Bui Thanh An - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Ho Le Ngoc - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department; Ngoc Kim Nam - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Kim Chi - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies; Phan Duc Dong - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee. Comrades of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee: Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Thi Hong Toan - Secretary of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee; and representatives of a number of departments, agencies and branches.

On October 2, 2021, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Decision No. 643-QD/TU appointing for a term (5 years) Comrade Ngo Duc Kien - Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper. The Decision takes effect from the date of signing.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate comrade Ngo Duc Kien.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized that this was his honor and also the common joy of Nghe An Newspaper. The high approval of the proposed personnel plan of Nghe An Newspaper showed the attention, good evaluation and trust of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee not only for Comrade Ngo Duc Kien personally but also for the source of cadres trained, educated, fostered and introduced by Nghe An Newspaper; at the same time, it showed the trust and respect of the team of cadres, reporters and employees of Nghe An Newspaper for Comrade Ngo Duc Kien. In recent times, Nghe An Newspaper together with related coordinating agencies have carried out personnel work quite systematically and effectively.

In the coming time, Nghe An Newspaper will have the advantage of being a heroic unit with a tradition and long history of achievements, one of the strong local Party newspapers in the country; the staff, reporters, editors, and workers are very responsible, their working capacity has greatly improved, the agency is united, collaborative, and shares with each other.

However, in the coming time, the tasks of Nghe An Newspaper will be extremely heavy as the province is resolutely accelerating to implement tasks according to the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels; at the same time, the social situation and other objective issues affect social life, especially the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Analyzing the advantages and difficulties in the coming time, comrade Nguyen Van Thong emphasized the key tasks for Nghe An Newspaper in general and new Editor-in-Chief Ngo Duc Kien in particular so that the Newspaper can perform well its role as the voice of the Party Committee, Government and People of Nghe An province in the above context.

In particular, Nghe An Newspaper needs to continue to effectively carry out propaganda and dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies; the State's policies and laws in the new situation; effectively participate in protecting the Party's ideological foundation and guidelines; and promote its active and effective advisory role in participating in building the Party, government and political system through praising, encouraging, clarifying, replicating and praising good deeds and positive factors; and at the same time fighting against negativity.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee also emphasized that the leaders, staff, reporters, editors, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper need to continue to build a strong and comprehensive agency, worthy of being the leading force in communications work in the province; actively reflect the aspirations and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong also emphasized the need to continue building a team of cadres, reporters, editors, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper who are proficient and sharp in their profession; have standards of professional ethics; and take good care of all aspects of life within Nghe An Newspaper.

Regarding the new Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, comrade Nguyen Van Thong emphasized the need to continue to cultivate and improve professional, leadership and management capacity, to be a central factor for the collective, agency and unit; at the same time, promote spirit and responsibility, worthy of the respect of the agency and the trust of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong also hopes that the leaders of the Newspaper will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, collaboration, and sharing for the growth of Nghe An Newspaper; all cadres, reporters, editors, and workers will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and sharing that has been affirmed to create a foundation of strength and confidence for the new Editor-in-Chief in particular and the Editorial Board and leaders of Nghe An Newspaper in general to overcome difficulties, lead the agency to excellently complete the political tasks assigned by the province, the agency's tasks, and the further growth of Nghe An Newspaper.

In his acceptance speech, the new Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, Ngo Duc Kien, sincerely thanked the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee for their trust; the training, respect, and recognition of the collective of cadres, reporters, and employees of Nghe An Newspaper; thanked generations of cadres, reporters, and civil servants of Nghe An Newspaper; especially the leadership and direction to promote the role of the leader to build collective strength of the former Editor-in-Chiefs and the collective Editorial Board so that Nghe An Newspaper can have its position today.

The new Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper hopes that the collective of Nghe An Newspaper will continue to unite, agree, share, and shoulder the responsibility.
