Vinh Medical University opens the 2021-2022 school year

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Canh Phu - Principal of Vinh Medical University said: The past school year was a difficult and challenging year due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, but with the efforts, overcoming difficulties, responsibility of the teaching staff, management staff and the determination and efforts of students, Vinh Medical University organized and implemented training activities in a flexible and appropriate manner, so training and scientific research work was maintained on schedule and quality was ensured.

At the same time, the school's staff, lecturers and students actively volunteered to participate in epidemic prevention and control work in localities inside and outside the province.
Recently, the school held a graduation ceremony for 889 students, of which the rate of good and excellent results was 94.8%. During the school year, there were 20 basic-level projects, 8 lecturers participated in 4 projects recognized as Provincial Initiatives; 3 projects won the Nghe An Province Science and Technology Innovation Award. Completed external assessment and was certified to meet the quality of educational institution accreditation according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

The 2020-2021 school year also marks an important milestone in the 60-year history of the school's formation and development, and opens a new period, a period of innovation in the governance system, preparing conditions for university autonomy; improving training quality, innovating undergraduate and graduate training programs; promoting science and technology activities, and gradually investing in creating the school's brand.

In the 2021-2022 school year, the school continues to synchronously deploy solutions to respond to the Covid-19 epidemic, continue to innovate, and persistently pursue the goal of quality education and training.
Successfully implementing the tasks of the 2021-2022 school year will be an important premise for implementing the school's development strategy for the 2021-2025 period; aiming to build and develop Vinh Medical University into a multi-disciplinary, multi-level training school to meet the needs of medical human resources, contributing to protecting, caring for and improving people's health.
Also at the ceremony, Vinh Medical University awarded 6 students with the highest scores in the 2021 admission season; awarded 12 students with excellent achievements in the 2020-2021 school year.
