Addict with 2 previous convictions broke into neighbor's house to steal money

(Baonghean.vn)- He was a drug addict with two previous convictions for drug crimes. To have money to satisfy his drug addiction, he broke into his neighbor's house and stole nearly 13 million VND.

On October 25, 2021, Tuong Duong District Police said that the unit is temporarily detaining suspect Luong Van Nguyen (born in 1984), residing in Hao village, Yen Hoa commune, Tuong Duong district to investigate the act of "Theft of property". Nguyen isaddicts, had 2 previous convictions for drugs and was just released from prison in March 2021.

Previously, at 3:30 p.m. on October 21, 2021, Tuong Duong District Police received a report from Yen Hoa Commune Police, Tuong Duong District, stating that the house of Ms. Kha Thi T., residing in Hao village, Yen Hoa commune, had been broken into by a thief and 12.9 million VND was stolen.

Immediately after receiving the report, Tuong Duong District Police directed Yen Hoa Commune Police to verify and investigate. By 11:00 a.m. on October 22, 2021, the police agency clarified that Luong Van Nguyen was the subject who committed the act of stealing Ms. Tuyet's property.

At the police station, Nguyen confessed: On October 21, 2021, knowing that Ms. Tuyet was away, Nguyen climbed over the fence, broke into the house through the back door (Ms. Tuyet did not lock the door) and stole 12.9 million VND. Nguyen brought the stolen money home to hide to buy drugs whenever he was "hungry for drugs".

According to Ms. Tuyet, the money was sent by her children who work in the South to take care of their parents' health. The people of Hao village are very happy and reassured because the police force quickly clarified and arrested the perpetrator, keeping the village peaceful.
