Nghe An has 280 communes meeting new rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) - Despite many difficulties, Nghe An still maintains and promotes the movement of building new rural areas.

Since May 2021, the fourth outbreak of Covid-19 has negatively affected many sectors, including the new rural construction sector. However, localities in the province still adhere to the implementation criteria to achieve the set plan.

As in Nghi Loc, the construction of new rural areas has been carried out by the entire political system. The district focuses on completing the dossier to submit to the Central Government for appraisal of the district meeting new rural standards. At the same time, it is urgent to complete construction items, improve the quality of criteria for appraisal of the district meeting new rural standards. Nghi Loc implements a plan to build communes meeting advanced new rural standards in 2021, focusing on Nghi Long, Khanh Hop, Nghi Xuan communes; Deploy a review of the need for cement support to serve the construction of advanced new rural areas and prevent the loss of new rural standards for communes, develop a cement supply plan in the coming time for communes to implement.

In Con Cuong district, the Steering Committee of the New Rural Program regularly urges communes to focus on directing and accelerating progress in 2021.

Mr. Lo Van Ly - Head of the District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said: The district focuses on maintaining and improving the criteria for the communes of Bong Khe, Yen Khe, Chi Khe; raising the criteria for the remaining communes and focusing on building 6 villages and hamlets to register for the new rural destination in 2021. In the first 10 months of the year, the whole district has 1 commune with 1 more criterion, which is Mau Duc commune, raising the average criterion/commune to 12.17 criteria (an increase of 0.09 criteria compared to the beginning of the year), 6 villages and hamlets all implemented an increase of 1-2 criteria compared to the beginning of the year. In the area, many agricultural models have been implemented such as the green squash growing model in Mon Son commune with a scale of 2.2 hectares, a yield of 43 tons/ha, which has been highly appreciated by the people; the model of growing Solanum procumbens associated with product consumption in Lang Khe commune with a scale of 1.34 hectares, the pure rice growing model...

By the end of 2020, Hung Nguyen district had 16/17 communes reaching the NTM target, reaching 94.1%, an average of 16.8 criteria/commune. In 2021, Hung Yen Nam commune strives to reach the NTM target. However, due to the commune's extremely difficult economic conditions, the remaining criteria require a huge investment source to be able to complete the set requirements, so the results of completing the criteria are still slow.

In general, localities and units across the province have actively implemented the contents of the 2021 plan; in which, focusing on directing 20 communes to register to meet the new rural standards, 24 communes to register to meet the advanced new rural standards, 3 communes to register to meet the model new rural standards and 1 district (Quynh Luu) to register to meet the new rural standards in 2021 to complete the contents and criteria that have not been met.

Nghi Loc district, Hoang Mai town and relevant agencies actively complete documents and submit them.Prime Ministerrecognized for completing tasks, achieving new rural standards at district level; Nam Dan district actively implements the Project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become a model new rural district in the direction of developing culture associated with tourism, period 2018-2025".

By September 2021, the whole province had 280/411 communes meeting the NTM standards recognized by the Provincial People's Committee, accounting for 68.13%, of which, there were 8 communes in poor district 30a, 2 border communes, 31 communes with many ethnic minorities, 2 communes were recognized as meeting advanced NTM standards (Kim Lien commune,Nam Dan districtand Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district). There are 6 district-level units that have completed their tasks and met the NTM standards; there are 898 villages and hamlets that have met the NTM standards.
