After the rain, some inter-commune roads in Nghe An turned into 'ponds'
(Baonghean.vn) - After the recent rains, some long-degraded inter-commune roads in Yen Thanh and Dien Chau districts have turned into "ponds". This situation has been going on for a long time, causing difficulties and posing a potential risk of traffic accidents for vehicles.

The inter-commune road connecting from National Highway 7B is more than 5 km long, passing through the communes of Bac Thanh, Xuan Thanh, and Tang Thanh.(Yen Thanh)is considered a key route, playing a role and significance in trade and economic development. However, after many years of exploitation and use, combined with the frequent circulation of overloaded vehicles, this route has seriously degraded.

According to observations on this route, the asphalt surface has mostly peeled off. After each rain, the road is covered with large and small puddles, making traffic very difficult.
A local resident was upset: In the rainy season, it's muddy, many sections of the road turn into "ponds", and in the hot season, every time a vehicle passes by, the road is covered in dust.

Mr. Phan Hoang Thu - Chairman of Xuan Thanh Commune People's Committee added: This inter-commune road passing through Xuan Thanh commune for over 2 km is currently seriously degraded. Every year, the commune allocates funds for temporary maintenance and repair, but after each rain, the road is severely damaged.

The inter-commune road in Hamlet 8, Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau District, is in the same situation. After the rain, many places on this road are deeply concave and convex, forming large puddles, and some places are deformed and covered with mud.

It is known that Dien Truong commune road is a vital route connecting National Highway 1A to the coastal area, so it has a high traffic density. Recently, oversized and overloaded vehicles carrying materials to serve the construction of leather shoe factories and garment factories have damaged the road.
Nghe An: Heavy rain, many serious landslides
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of storm No. 8 and the strengthening of the Northeast monsoon, heavy rains have caused landslides on many mountainous roads in Nghe An. Traffic management units are actively working to fix the situation and ensure road clearance.
National Highway 7 through Cho slope, Con Cuong district continues to have landslides.
