250 households related to 2 Covid-19 cases in the community in Quynh Luu were locked down

(Baonghean.vn) - The entire hamlet 4, Quynh Dien commune, Quynh Luu district (Nghe An) has been locked down due to the two Covid-19 cases announced this morning.

Morning of October 31,Nghe An11 new Covid-19 infections were recorded, including 2 community cases, a husband and wife in hamlet 4, Quynh Dien commune, Quynh Luu district.

Quynh Dien commune authorities said that as soon as the test results were available, the locality locked down the entire hamlet 4 with a total of 250 households and 1,030 people, set up checkpoints to control people entering and leaving the hamlet; at the same time, disinfected and took samples for testing of people in the area.

The source of infection of these two patients has not been confirmed yet. However, the local authorities said that the two patients previously lived with their grandchild, who was an F1 related to the outbreak in Quynh Bang commune, so the two grandparents are F2.

Although the husband had previously shown signs of fever and cough, the patient was over 70 years old, had many underlying diseases, and was often sick, so he did not think it was due to Covid-19 infection, so he did not voluntarily get tested. Only when the local authorities determined that he was F2 was a sample taken for testing and the result was positive.

To date,Quynh Dien commune62 F1s of these 2 patients have been identified. This morning, October 31, the F1s will be quarantined at 4 locations, including Quynh Dien Kindergarten and the Cultural Houses of hamlets 4, 2, and 6.

1. Patient N.D.T,Male, born in 1947. Address: Hamlet 4, Quynh Dien Commune, Quynh Luu District. The patient showed symptoms of cough and difficulty breathing. On October 30, staff from Quynh Dien Commune Health Station came to his house to take a sample for a rapid test, which gave a positive result. The patient's sample was then sent to Quang Khoi General Hospital. On the evening of October 30, the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

2. Patient NTC, female, born in 1947. Address: Hamlet 4, Quynh Dien Commune, Quynh Luu District. The patient is the wife of patient N.D.T., who was announced at the same time. The patient showed symptoms of cough and fatigue. On October 30, staff from the Quynh Dien Commune Health Station came to her house to take a sample for a rapid test, which gave a positive result. The patient's sample was then sent to Quang Khoi General Hospital. On the evening of October 30, the result confirmed that she was positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
