Nghe An's GRDP growth rate in 2021 is estimated to reach about 6.25%
(Baonghean.vn) - Based on the results achieved in 10 months, forecasting the situation and implementation capacity of industries, fields, and key product targets, the Department of Planning and Investment estimates that the province's GRDP growth rate in 2021 will reach about 6.25% (in the fourth quarter alone, it will increase by about 7.20%).
On the morning of November 2, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for October 2021. Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

Reporting at the meeting, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Xuan Duc said that despite many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the province's state budget revenue in the first 10 months of 2021 is estimated at VND 14,642.96 billion, reaching 104.4% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council in 2021 and increasing by 7.8% over the same period.The industrial production growth index in October is still estimated to increase by 1.27% over the same period, and for the first 10 months, it is estimated to increase by 16.03%.
As of October 21, the province has granted new licenses to 91 projects and adjusted 110 projects, with a total newly granted and increased investment capital of VND 25,154.61 billion; the number of projects increased by 44%, and the total investment increased by 2.85 times compared to the same period in 2020. As of October 20, public investment capital disbursed reached 61.97% of the detailed plan.
As of October 31, the province has approved support for more than 52,042 beneficiaries with a support budget of more than VND 76,572 billion for people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic according to the Government's Resolutions. As of October 25, it has resolved for 66,320 workers participating in unemployment insurance and 5,425 people who have stopped participating in unemployment insurance with a total amount of VND 170 billion.

Analyzing the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on the economy, the Director of the Department of Planning and Investment said that in the first 6 months of the year, the Covid-19 epidemic has not had a strong impact on the province, so the growth rate (GRDP) increased by 7.58%, close to the proposed scenario (7.61%).
However, in the third quarter, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out strongly again in the province, severely and deeply affecting all aspects of the economy and society. The GRDP growth rate in the third quarter of 2021 only reached 2.9%. In the first 9 months, the GRDP growth rate in the province reached 5.9%/scenario 7.83%.
Based on the results achieved in 10 months, forecasting the situation and implementation capacity of industries, fields, and key product indicators, the Department of Planning and Investment expects the province's GRDP growth rate in 2021 to reach about 6.25% (in the fourth quarter alone, it increased by about 7.20%)/the built scenario is 8%.
