Nghe An Electricity Company successfully energized the 110kV Con Cuong transformer station.
(Baonghean.vn) - The completion of the 110kV Con Cuong Transformer Station ensures safe, continuous and stable power supply to serve the needs of customers and economic development of Con Cuong district.
On the afternoon of November 14, Nghe An Power Company successfully completed the acceptance, energized and put into operation the 110kV Con Cuong Transformer Station (E15.48). Attending the ceremony, on behalf of Nghe An Power Company, there was Mr. Bang Hong Hien - Director of Nghe An Power Company; Deputy Directors and leaders of departments of Nghe An Power Company.
On the side of Con Cuong district, there were comrade Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of Con Cuong District Party Committee; Hoang Sy Kien - Chairman of Con Cuong District People's Committee.
The 110 kV Con Cuong Transformer Station and branch project was built in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district. The project has a total investment of 65 billion VND, invested by the Northern Power Construction Project Management Board, Northern Power Corporation. After completion, it will be handed over to Nghe An Power Company for management and operation.

Construction station with total area of 8,488 m2The station is equipped with equipment according to a busbar diagram with segments including 01 transformer bay T1 (110/35/10kV), 02 110kV line bays connected by communication bays.
110kV and 35kV equipment are installed outdoors with a planned capacity of 02 25 MVA transformers. The station is built according to the criteria of a remote control substation; Building an information system, SCADA connecting to the Nghe An Provincial Remote Control Center, A1 and NPC Data Center according to the criteria of an unmanned station. In addition, the station also installs a solar panel system along with a camera system to monitor the station and station security.
Con Cuong 110kV transformer station is built with 4 output lines, of which phase 1 will operate 2 output lines, which are 2 lines 371E15.48 serving to supply electricity to 5,340 customers and line 373 E15.48 serving to supply electricity to 16,786 customers of Con Cuong district and part of Anh Son district.

Due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, the construction work encountered many difficulties due to travel restrictions. However, with the high determination of Nghe An Power Company, the Northern Power Construction Project Management Board and contractors have strictly controlled the construction time to complete the project on schedule and well implemented Covid-19 epidemic prevention work at the construction site.

The completion of the 110kV transformer station is of great significance, contributing to the timely supply of electricity to the load of Con Cuong district and at the same time preventing overloading of the 110kV transformer station of Hoa Binh town (Tuong Duong) and Do Luong in the period of 2021 - 2025 and beyond. The station closure not only improves the quality of domestic electricity and the quality of electricity supply, but also contributes to the socio-economic development of Con Cuong district.

Currently, the entire load of Con Cuong district is supplied with electricity from the 110kV station of Hoa Binh town (Tuong Duong) through a 35kV line 371E15.14 and is supported by small hydropower plants connected to the regional medium voltage grid. Because it is a single line with a large power supply radius of up to 116km, the reliability of power supply is low and voltage and power loss in this area is always high.

Comrade Bang Hong Hien - Director of Nghe An Electricity Company said: Nghe An Electricity Company has proposed for many years to build a 110kV transformer station. The completion of the project contributes to improving the voltage quality of Con Cuong district, improving the reliability of power supply (reducing power outage time), reducing the capacity of the 110kV transmission line from the mountainous districts of Ky Son and Tuong Duong to the 220kV transformer station in Do Luong district, serving the socio-economic development of the locality.

“In the coming time, Nghe An Electricity Company will continue to energize the 110kV transformer station in Anh Son district and strive to have at least one 110kV station in each district to serve the socio-economic development of the localities and Nghe An province. At the same time, we will increasingly improve the quality of electricity, which is the basis for renovating and developing the planning of the rural electricity system in the province,” added Mr. Bang Hong Hien.
