Nghe An stops all entertainment activities to commemorate those who died from Covid-19

On November 18, the People's Committee of Nghe An province sent an urgent dispatch to provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns regarding the suspension of cultural, artistic, entertainment and recreational activities during the Memorial Ceremony for compatriots who died in the Covid-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, the People's Committee of Nghe An province requested sectors and localities to guide organizations, individuals, and entertainment establishments to stop or postpone organizing welcoming events, art programs, festival activities, fireworks, sports competitions and other entertainment activities during the Memorial Day for compatriots who died and officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The ceremony starts at 8:00 p.m., November 19, 2021; duration is approximately 30-45 minutes.

At the same time, promote propaganda with appropriate content and form to honor and recognize the contributions of officers and soldiers who sacrificed and people who died while performing the task of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.
Nearly two years since its appearance, Covid has claimed the lives of more than 23,000 Vietnamese people. Most of them were unable to be with their loved ones in their final moments. The memorial service is an opportunity for everyone to calm their hearts and ease the pain of loss. And this is also the time for us to look back on the painful days of the pandemic to appreciate the peaceful life we have now and live more usefully in the future.
In addition to the two main locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, many other localities will also organize different forms of commemoration. According to the Organizing Committee's plan, the memorial ceremony will take place from 8:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on November 19. Delegates will observe a moment of silence and light candles to commemorate those who died from Covid-19. Representatives of central and local agencies and delegates will offer incense and flowers at the two locations. Interspersed with the program, the Organizing Committee will broadcast reports titled "The Battle of Life and Death" and "Overcoming Pain" to express gratitude to the frontline forces fighting the epidemic, share the loss with families who have lost loved ones to the epidemic, and believe in entering a new normal phase.
Along with the main bridge at the Reunification Palace, many places in Ho Chi Minh City also held memorial ceremonies. Ho Chi Minh City also mobilized religious establishments in the area to ring bells; ships, boats, barges... docked at ports sounded memorial horns. At the same time, the city also called on people to turn off lights and light candles in public places, walking streets, parks, residential areas, apartments, hotels, offices, houses...
