Giving 60 breeding calves to poor households in Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Hung Nguyen
(Baonghean.vn) - On November 23, in Do Luong, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinated with the Artisan group to organize a program to give breeding cows to support livelihoods for poor, near-poor households, and families in difficult circumstances in the three districts of Do Luong, Thanh Chuong and Hung Nguyen.
To help poor households, near-poor households and familiesdifficult circumstanceshave the conditions to rise up in life, the Artisan Group has supported 60 children.calfwith a total value of 900 million VND (each district is supported with 20 pigs).Each household received a breeding calf worth 15 million VND.

These are healthy calves, fully vaccinated and quarantined. In addition, households are also trained in cattle care and breeding techniques and receive technical guidance from veterinary staff in the first 6 months.
According to the sponsor's regulations, after 3 years, if the cow gives birth, the calf will be given to other households to rotate the program's capital.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Do Luong district thanked the Artisan Group for their attention, support, and sharing of difficulties with disadvantaged households in the area to contribute to the good implementation of social security work in the locality; at the same time, they hoped that after receiving the breeding calves, the families would take good care of them and vaccinate them against diseases to ensure that the cows grow well, helping their families escape from difficulties and soon stabilize their lives.
